Today was a accomplishing day.  I woke up on time this morning, at 845am.  I talked to hubby, because he offered to take me into the Zoo this morning and when I woke up, I realized that he was on break so needed to be at work at 1030am.  That meant that we would need to leave soon in order for him to drop me off at the zoo and still get to work on time.  He took a couple of minutes to wake up and when I was done getting dressed, he said it was ok, he would drop me off in time to get to work by 1130.  I got up at 845 because Rose, my teenage next door neighbor, was coming over at 9am to help me walk the dogs.
Rose showed up at 9 and the dogs were excited and ready.  I got them leashed up quickly and off we went.  I was going to take the longer walk, all away around Misty, but when I reached Shadowglen, I decided a 20 minute walk was called for today since hubby and I needed to leave early and I still had a couple of things to do before we left, like make lunch for me to take with me to the Zoo.
When I got home, I thanked Rose and we agreed to meet again on Friday at 9am.  Then, since  I will not be going any other place, I will walk the full Misty Road.  Then I went inside and drank a couple of glasses of my unsweetened iced tea.  And I ate a cup of yogurt for breakfast, washed my face and make a salami sandwich for lunch.  I also packed a nectarine and 4 coconut cookies.  Then I put a bunch of ice in my 55 oz Kum and Go cup and filled it with iced tea so take to the Zoo with me.  In the meantime hubby was getting ready to leave.
We had a nice drive up to the Zoo, not in a hurry, running on time.  I started talking to hubby about our financial situation and about the book I had been reading, Slaying the Debt Dragon.  About how they paid off $127,000 in debt in 4 years.  And that the first step would be gathering up all our information about how much each of our debts were and coming up with a grand total of them.  He started to get upset, saying the we owe $1700 in PayDay loans and it didn't matter how much we were in debt, they were THE priority.  I told him I agreed with him, that the payday loans were the first priority but we also had other things being paid at the same time.  And I explained the cascade effect, of paying off your highest priority or highest interest rate debt first while you were making minimum payments on the rest then when the first debt was paid off, taking that money and applying it to the next highest interest rate or the lowest amount bill.  And we talked about our taxes due and what I had set up with federal.  Money conversations are very tensing for him since we have been living paycheck to paycheck and we never seem to have much money.  But we talked and were fine by the end of it.  We are going to sit down this weekend and do up a list of our debts.  I will work on our budget and come up with how much we can apply to debt repayment each month based on his minimal paycheck and we will take it from there.  We should be able to calculate how long it will take up to pay off all our debt.
Hubby dropped me off at the Zoo and agreed to pick me up at 410pm, in front of the Zoo.  I went and hung out until it was my shift to hold the joey.  Today we had a great crowd and tons of people, adults and children, were excited to see and touch the baby wallaby, our joey, and the Australian lizard, the blue tongue skink.  Time passed quickly.
Hubby picked me up and drove me home.  He had been having a very productive day but was glad for the break of coming to get me.  He came in the house to make himself a sandwich and then left.  I spent the rest of the evening on the computer researching medical conditions, like polycephaly, which means having 2 heads.  That lead me to Abbey and Britany, conjoined twins that look like a two headed person.  I had watched their reality show when I had cable, that followed them and we got to learn a little about what life was like for them.  I watched their documentary Joined For Life.  It was interesting.  After it was over, I watched another documentary about the tiniest girl in the world.  At 2 years of age, she was only 7 and a half pounds and still wore newborn sized clothing.  She has primordial dwarfism.  Then I watch a documentary about a woman who was in a coma for 20 years and woke up and started talking.
When hubby came home, I was reading out in the front yard swing.  It started getting pretty chilly out today, the rain cooled the earth down quite a bit.  We went inside, at spaghetti and retired.
Tomorrow I have my Prayer Shawl meeting at my church, which will be fun.  But I won't get to sleep in since the meeting starts at 9.  I think I will get up at 845, eat some yogurt and go in just after 9.  But hubby did talk about dropping me off and going into work to clock in, do what he needs to do in Colorado Springs, then coming to pick me up, drop me off at home before heading to Denver, so we will see.
