Today was a discovery day. I woke up at 845, ready to get up and go to my Prayer Shawl meeting but since hubby had went back downstairs last night to listen to music when I was ready to go to sleep, I wasn't able to talk to him about what time he had to be in today. He said he was getting up at 915 so he could leave just after 10, so I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep since I wouldn't be able to go to my meeting today. But I was awake so I decided to read instead while he still slept.
Once hubby got up to get ready, I turned on the tv and put on Lie to Me on Netflix. I kissed hubby goodbye, he was not going to Denver today but just going to be in the Colorado Springs school. So he would be coming home for lunch. He told me he was so low on pot that he wouldn't be able to stretch it out until we got paid again so I told him to take the last $20 out of the account and go buy some. We had stocked up on food and gas so were good to go until next Tuesday.
Hubby has a medical mj license, he has self medicated for most of his life to treat depression and stomach problems. He has been off of it during his life and also for short period of times during our marriage and frankly, he is a much better person on. He is a responsible pot smoker and holds a full time job, doesn't get drop down high and functions just fine. He doesn't sit there and smoke until there is nothing left, a $40 pot buy will last him for 2 weeks, if not longer.
Anyway, I spent the morning in bed watching Lie to Me on Netflix. Then I got up, came downstairs and fed all the beasties. I started to watch Law & Order: SVU but got the computer and started watching medical mysteries episode. Something I used to watch when we had cable. I opened the rattie boys' door and let them come out to explore. That is how I spent my day. I started on the second cowl scarf for Cassie's mother-in-law, crocheting, and also crocheted the prayer shawl a little bit. Did really well on the cowl scarf, I really like the way it is coming out.
Hubby came home at lunch after going to the pot store and getting his stuff. He dropped it off at home because his work is a drug free zone. The first case in Colorado of an employee that was fired from his job because he was a medical mj user was upheld for the employer, saying they didn't have to give him back his job. It the company has a drug free policy and even if the employee has a medical mj license, the company is not required to keep him. So hubby is very careful to keep that part of his personal life, personal.
We did get a call back from the physician's assistant that the skin cancer biopsy came back. It showed that the spot was pre-cancerous and that is good news! Now when hubby goes back to have the stitches removed, he will have to have additional skin frozen off to kill any part of the spot off. The good news is it wasn't melanoma so additional cutting isn't necessary. Hubby is much relieved. I was rejoicing also.
Hubby didn't work late tonight, he came home just before 8pm. He came in the house, greeted all the barking dogs, who were excited to see him, then we went and sat on the front swing. It's a nice place to swing and talk about our day. We had an intense rain shower earlier and the earth was smelling rather green. The sky was now clear and it was beautiful out. We stayed out until it was time to come in and feed the beasties again.
Dinner was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, half a sandwich for me, and chicken kiev for him. Now we are going upstairs to watch a movie before we go to sleep.
Tomorrow Rose is coming over at 9 to help me walk the dogs again and I'm pretty proud of myself for doing it 3 times this week. Then I need to go through our paperwork and get a copy of our bankruptcy discharge to send to a couple of people. It's supposed to be about 10 degrees cooler so might end up wearing my jeans instead of shorts.
