Hubby had to go to work so he showered and shaved, got dressed and kissed me goodbye. I told him I loved him and sent him off with a smile. I told him I would feed the beasties and I did. Then I got on the computer and wrote a little more of a letter to my nephew Robbie. I have to get it printed out and mailed to him. But I have to print out the letter, put it in an envelope and get hubby to take it into work to weigh it and mail it as I don't have any stamps. But hubby is doing graduation for work, which means tomorrow I will take him in to get a truck from Ryder. I will drop him off at Ryder so he can pick up the truck and drive it to work. I will then go onto my prayer shawl meeting and turn in the shawl I finished. I am so proud of myself, this is the first shawl I have ever finished! I have been working on another shawl for myself that I haven't finished yet so need to get that done but this shawl I really love! Tonight hubby is going to get the camera and we are going to take a picture of it so I can put it in a scrapbook and keep track of all the things that I make. Then tomorrow I will turn it in at the Prayer Shawl Meeting at my church. It will be hard to give it up! But I will have my pictures to keep. I am working on a cowl scarf for Becky, my daughter's mother in law. It's funny to say my daughter has a mother in law as she just got married on May 16th. It's funny to think of my daughter, Cassie, as a grown up and going to have children in the next 5 years.
I'm adding my first picture ever to this blog of me with my prayer shawl that I finished! Hubby showed me how to do it. It was funny as when hubby was taking the picture, Cookie came out of the bedroom and just chose to sit down next to me, facing the camera. She is such an intense dog, it was really touching. I love my little Cookie-bear!

You can also see some of the clutter I have going on in the hallway of our upstairs, all the movies we have stacked up on the child's rolltop desk I bought at an auction for the hall. I really need to get the books and movies all put away. I think I will do that tomorrow. But I went to the auction just after we bought the house and as soon as I saw the child's rolltop desk, I knew it would be perfect for my hallway. I also bid on and bought a postage stamp baby quilt. You can see it up on the wall. Each piece of material is cut out about one inch square and sewn together. So much work for so tiny a project! I think about quilting every once in a while but then I think that I really don't want to do quilting per se, I want to do a free style picture. Where I cut out material and make a scene. Someday I will see if I can do it. Then you pin it all together and sew it.
Hubby came home for lunch as he was in Colorado Springs today. We had a really nice lunch and he brought me a Cherry Pepsi from Kum and Go. We got a little busy, a little "afternoon delight" so to say and I sent him back to work with a smile on his face.
I spent the rest of the afternoon not doing much, crocheting a little, working on Cassie's mother in law's cowl scarf. I read for awhile. I watched tv and Netflix. Later, I fed the beasties and played with the rats a little. I'm trying to give them some space but still practice what I am learning in videos about rats from YouTube. They are a little freaked out about the dogs barking and whining every time I go over to the cage so I am letting all the animals get used to each other. One of the rats seems to be having a reaction to the new tropical food that we bought so I am trying to keep an eye on them. I don't want them to get sick and die. Also I think I am feeding them too much as they don't seem eager when I feed them twice a day. Also they didn't eat all their packaged food. Tomorrow I am going to clean out the food and give them some cheerios and apple to eat. Today when I fed them apple and pear, the ate all the apple and left the pear. I also have some nectarine I bought to offer them.
Now that I know how to post pics on my blog and how to download my camera, I am hoping to start adding pics to here more often. Slowly I am learning. Maybe I can start doing housework and decluttering then post before and after pics. Something to think about.
