Today was a lonely day. Hubby had to leave this morning at 5am to drive to Denver, north Denver, in order to do Graduation for Colorado Technical University. This required that he take a 32 foot truck up there with everything needed for the Graduation and arrive up early in the morning. Then hubby had a 10 person crew to unload the truck and get it all set up. He set up a retail shop of memorabilia of the University and started selling.
I woke up at 9am and sat with the animals for a bit. Then I got up and got dressed, fed the animals and left. I had to go to the doctor's office to pick up hubby's prescription and drop it off at Walgreen's before my parents were due to pick me up at noon to take me to the Zoo. I managed to get it done and home in plenty of time.
I watched Maury while I was getting dressed to go work at the Zoo. I got distracted and forgot my name tag again but that was ok as Kay didn't have her name tag either. Mom and dad picked me up and took me to the Zoo because I so didn't want to walk up the hill again with my ankle and going in for the afternoon shift I would never find a parking space up in the employee area. So they dropped me off and went to the movies.
The afternoon shift was good. Our joey finally has a name, Fiona. And we got to hold her for an hour and a half today. Then we help the blue tongue skink. We got a lot of people to pet both and they were surprised at how each of them felt. It was a good afternoon.
Hubby called me when he finished his day at 730pm. He had checked into his hotel since he was spending the night up there. He got a great room on the 32nd floor and wanted to pee out the window. Silly man! We had a nice chat then he went to get some dinner.
He called me later when he was getting ready for bed. He had gotten bbq and brought it back to the room. I told him it was scary being alone and I missed him. Told him tonight I will be going to sleep with the lights on, wearing my night mask.
