Today was a caregiving day.  I had an appointment with my orthopedic nurse practitioner this morning at 840am so had to get up and leave the house at 8am.  Urg!  Too early!  But when I left at 8am, it gave me time to go down to Kum & Go and get a extra large unsweetened ice tea and a cinnamon roll.  Without frosting.  So good!
I got to the doctor's office and checked in.  I didn't have to wait long for my appointment and soon I was talking to Virginia.  I told her the additional vitamin D I am taking now, 5000 iu. and the calcium I am taking now, 1000 mg twice a day.  That I was walking but my person bailed on me so now I am getting my bike fixed so I can do that.  We talked a little bit about the osteopenia and that in 6 months I will have another bone scan to see if this is improving my condition, solidifying my bone density mass.  Then I will meet with her two weeks after the test and we will see if I need to go on medication then or not.  Eating better, exercising and genetics play a big part.
I came home and sat with the rattie boys for a little bit.  Then I went out with Janice,my neighbor, to Target to pick up some dog food and I found some glow in the dark bracelets 15 for $1.  I got 90 of them to hand out for Halloween.  Fun!  I will test them before to make sure they will work.  I also got some other $1 and $3 odds and ends for stocking stuffers.  And some gel window clings with owls.  I really like owls.
Then I picked up lunch for Frank and hubby.  Frank had come home early because he was sick.  He got light headed using tools and they sent him home.  If he had called, we would have picked him up and brought him, but he didn't.  So I brought lunch home for them.  Then I waited with the rats for Holly to come pick up her car and her dog, Bud.  We will miss him, he was a really nice dog.  Low energy but happy to see you.  Ii am happy to get my space back next to my craft table as his bed was extra large and I couldn't change the rat cage while he was here.  The rats are miserable because it hasn't been cleaned in a week.
Then I spent time upstairs with hubby while he was sleeping.  I watched several episodes of Project Catwalk, season 3.  Kelly Ozborn is the host again.  She is pretty interesting and seems to be a little bit nicer on this season compared to last season.  They made changes on how they are rating the designers this season and I applaud them.  Not so mean as the first two seasons.
Frank decided since we bought lunch, he would buy dinner.  I ran out to Firehouse Subs and picked up subs for him and hubby.  I could have gotten one but they just didn't sound good, so I got a large Coke instead.  I figured ifI got hungry later, I have some baked potato soup in the cupboard that sounded fine.
But while I was picking up the subs in our shopping center, I saw my salon was still open and so was Great Clips.  I dropped off the food at homeand came right back.  The salon was open another 15 minutes so I went in to see ifI could get my gel nails done.  They said they would do a pedicure too, if I wanted, so I got a deluxe pedicure too.  It took about an hour and a half then I went next door to Great Clips and got my hair cut.  And shampooed.  So nice!  $4 for the shampoo and conditioner and then they give you a head massage.  I really like it!
By the time I was done, it was close to 9pm and time to go home.  Tomorrow hubby should feel better and I have no more errands so will be home all day.  Maybe we can get the shelves cleaned off and the material put away.  It will go a long way for me to start sewing.  The cats will be happy that Bud is gone, he won't be chasing them anymore.  It will be easier to get them in at night.  The skunks have found the new place we are having to put the food, by the garage behind the truck since the neighbor complained about us feeding them.
I did have to take some Miralax today to start pooping again so I guess I will have to take it on a regular basis.
