Today was a carefree day.  I woke up when hubby left for work, but then went back to sleep until 1130am.  Boy!  When I woke up I thought it was only 930am but when I saw the clock, I was surprised.  I got up, got dressed and threw on a head scarf as without it, I had Trump hair.  That wouldn't do!  I almost took a picture on Instagram and sent it to the Trump Your Cat account, I looked that bad.
I was starving so I heated up a piece of Little Ceaser's pepperoni pizza and ate only 4 bites.  Then I cut up the rest and gave it to the 4 dogs.  I fed all the animals and watched Quincy on channel 11.2.  I love Quincy!  I don't even miss the half hour game show and Cops:Reloaded.
After Quincy was done, I read for a little bit then worked up the courage and got in Holly's SUV to drive over to her house to check on the cat, Morgan.  It had been two days since they left and I told her I would go visit the cat every other day.  I was really nervous about driving her car, like I am about driving anyone else's vehicles.  But I got the hang of it pretty quickly.  At least it's not a fast car so I stuck with the speed limit.
I got to Holly and Austin's house.  I didn't see Morgan when I went in so I freshed the waters, mixed the dry foods and filled up his bowl, and found a can of wet cat food.  I scooped out the litter box and then Morgan came over to me.  I talked to him for a few minutes and then he followed me over to the steps.  I opened the can of food and spoon fed him some.  Holly said he would only eat if you fed him by hand, so I did.  He ate a little of it then meowed loudly and walked away a few steps.  I put some on a plate and left it in the hallway for him for later.
Then I started to read to him.  I had brought in a Joanne Fluke murder mystery and hadn't started it yet.  I started to read to him and he went to settle in the bedroom on the bed but still faced me and stared at me while I was reading.  I took frequent breaks to eat the dill pickle potato chips I bought a Kum & Go, my favorite convenience store.  He seemed to like me reading to him so I did it for 45 minutes.  I turned on the hall light so he wouldn't have to be in the dark all the time with all the curtains and blinds closed.  Then I left.  I will be going back tomorrow or Sunday.
Next I went to visit my parents.  I hadn't talked to mom in a while, just time had been getting away from me and I have been a bad daughter by not calling.  So I took mom the gift certificate and hat pins I bought her over the summer as a Just Because present.  She laughed and said she liked them.  I told her I would go with her if she wanted to The White Rabbit bead shop soon.  I told her I wanted to take a bead loom class from there.
We visited for awhile and I got pictures of all the bulldogs and posted them on Instagram.  Now I have pictures of them for when I crochet the bulldogs and I can put on their markings.  I saw Sophie, their oldest dog, the mother of Lacey and Admiral.  She is still looking pretty ragged and mom told me about the chemo treatments she is getting to try to put the cancer into remission.  She had stopped eating for 2 days after the treatment but was eating again.  The cancer is just on the skin right now and hasn't spread to the lymph node yet.  When that happens, they will watch Sophie to tell when she is in pain.  At that point they will put her down so she won't suffer.
I left and went home with several more books to read, another Joanne Fluke, the first book of the series, and two other murder recipe books from different authors.  When I got home, Frank was already home and had the front door open.  He wasn't hungry so we put off cooking dinner until after hubby got home.  I had pulled out a london broil steak and hubby cooked it on the gas grill.  We microwaved some baked potatoes and grilled the last three pieces of corn on the cob we had.  Dinner was very good and we ate until we were full.  Frank cleaned up and then all of us relaxed.  Project Runway was on last night so tonight hubby and I will get to see this week's episode.  Before we watch it, I'm going to rewatch the week before's episode so I can remember.  With watching other countries Project Runways, I forget the current season.  Right now we are watching Project Catwalk, the UK's version of Project Runway.  Elizabeth Hurley is the Heidi Klum host equivalent.  It's done a little different too.  Interesting!
Got to spend some time with the Rattie Boys today.  Haven't spent a lot of time on the computer so they haven't been able to get out much.  And my craft table is a mess!  Tomorrow I have to clean it off and clean out their cage.  Then I have to write all the recipes from Joanne Fluke's books down in my notebook so I can return the books to the library on Sunday.
Tomorrow hubby has to go back into work for about 4 hours to wrap up work he needs to do before he goes on vacation next week.  That will give him about 10 hours of overtime this week.  Since he will just get 40 hours of straight pay next week, it will balance out.
We are going to mostly relax and take it easy all week.  There are a few things around the house we want to get done, like clean off the extra table that is up and put that away.  I would like his help on cleaning off my shelves and putting away the boxes of material I have in the middle of the craft room floor.  Mom gave me the fabric postcard that she got mailed to her by Aunt Gale, her sister.  I brought it home to see if I could make some.  They are pretty neat!  A nice project for me to plan on doing.  Aunt Gale said they were selling for $5 each at the craft fair.  Not bad for scrap materials!
After my little shopping spree, we don't really have any money for the week to do anything so we are going to do things like plan a picnic in the mountains, go walk around downtown window shopping.  Go walk around Old Colorado City and go play at the Penny Arcade.  It should be fun and hubby will get the much needed relaxation.
