Today was a avoidance day.  Both hubby and I woke up before the alarm because my phone was ringing.  Hubby woke me up to go answer it.  When I saw that it was an 800#, I sent it to voicemail and came back to bed.  But I had been having a very vivid dream, so I got back up and came downstairs to write it down in my dream journal.
I was working in a dorm, counting out peanut butter dog biscuits I had made into orders.  I got interrupted and had to leave the boy's room where I was working.  I had to go to the elementary school to talk to the new teacher who was in a wheelchair.  When school started up soon, she wanted mini-bite sized dog treats that the students could feed to her service dog in order to meet him.  He was a golden retriever.  She wanted them really small so the dog wouldn't get full up after eating 300 of them, since there was 300 staff and students to meet on the first day of school.. I told her that I could make them and I would mix the 3 flavors, peanut butter, cheese and pumpkin, so the dog wouldn't be eating all one flavor.  I took the order but didn't tell her how much it would be.  I still had to calculate that.
Then I was walking in the school office, looking for a way out.  Then I was with my friend that looked like Taylor Swift, in her home.  She was rich and was looking for a tshirt to wear to the school dance that was a Hoe-Down.  She she had bought several outfits and wanted my opinion.  She opened this chest and showed me one shirt that turned out to be a sweatshirt, so it would be too hot.  But it was on a cut out model and the model had her head down and looking through her half closed eyes.  We both started laughing really hard because the model looked like a gorilla.  With the sweatshirt in the box was an old tv like what they used to be like in the 70s, a travel tv that had a 3 inch black and white screen and attached to a big battery and had an antenna.  There was also another box that was a dvd player to go with it.  I indicated interest in the tv and the dvd player but my friend said "I can't afford to carry you."  and I said "Was that the tv I was interested in before?"
Then I was back in the dorms, looking for where I was working with the dog biscuits.  I went in all 11 rooms, just walking in and looking around, but I couldn't find the one I was working in.  I did see a huge stockpile of my dog biscuits up on a shelf in a neighbor's garage.  I said to my husband, "That's my stuff.  What's he doing with them?" and asking him to go get them from him.
And then I woke up to the phone call.
Hubby left for work and I took my soda and book and went to sit in the swing out front.  I stayed out there from 11am to 330pm reading.  About 2pm, I got up and went inside to get some grapes for lunch.
When I was done with my book, I went inside and turned on the tv.  I mixed up the dough for the Short Stack Blueberry Pancake Cookies and put it in the fridge until tomorrow morning.  Then I sat down and started working on the dinner menu.  I got out all the ads and went through, marking the stuff I wanted and planning dinners.  I made out 4 different grocery lists, Albertson's, King Soopers, Safeway, and Sprouts.  I got dinner planned through the 25th.  Hubby wants more meat and side dishes and so I did the best I could with what is on sale until next Tuesday, when we get paid again.
I started cooking dinner late, but Frank was up anyways and not in a hurry to go to bed.  I slice the potatoes by hand, trying to get them thin.  Then I sliced the onion.   I heated up some oil and started frying the onions and potatoes.  I had to cook the potatoes through, season them with onion powder, parsley, salt and pepper.  Then when the potatoes were mostly cooked, I added the sliced up polish sausage.  I cut it into coin sized rounds.  After that had cooked all the way, I added the can of green beans.  Stirred and heated.  Then it was ready.
Frank and I ate, I even had seconds.  Frank packed the rest of it away for lunch.  That was ok because I had a duplicate order ready to cook just for hubby.  So he would get it freshly made.
Hubby came home from working and stopping at my sister's house.  He had gone there to measure the player piano to see if it would fit in our house.  It would fit but it needed a lot of repair and he didn't want it here.  I wanted it but he had been on this rant for some time now and I didn't feel like fighting anymore about it, so told him to tell my sister that he didn't want it.  Frank had already set up the guys from work to help out with moving it, so said he was still going to have them over here for a bbq on Saturday.  He was buying the steaks, so we said fine.
Tomorrow I have to, have to, really have to, get the rat cage changed.  Then I have to make all 6 dozen cookies.  And if I still feel like it, I'll be making some dog biscuits.  But probably not the dog biscuits.  My dogs have enough for right now.  And I am going to get up with hubby in the morning and walk the dogs.  Once with Cookie and Kira, and once with Baby.  It's supposed to be 20 degrees cooler tomorrow than it has been so I may be wearing jeans.
