Today was a beneficial day.  I had therapy this morning at 10 and hubby had to be at work at 9, so we got up early, got ready and left.  Hubby's tummy was still upset from his food poisoning so he didn't eat anything.  I was going to eat a yogurt, but forgot to take one with me, so I skipped eating.  I did get a Cherry Pepsi from Kum and Go to drink, though.
When I dropped off hubby, I went to Costco to pick up more cat food, but they didn't open until 10am, so I went over to where my therapist was.  But just as I got to the parking lot, with the option of sitting in my car for 45 minutes and reading, I decided to go to Goodwill that was across the street.  I needed some purple shirts for my Red Hat events, in short sleeves.
I found two short sleeved purple shirts that were really nice.  I also found a pair of dangly silver earrings that I wanted to wear today.  For a snack, I also bought some of their caramel popcorn.  At $4 for a small bag, it was pretty pricey!  By then, it was time to get back across the street.
My session with Steve went well.  I talked about all the visitors we have this past weekend, the purging and sorting I have been doing with my clothes and how I thought that this was a form of creativity.  So was all the cooking I had been doing.  The designing of the dinner menus, the grocery lists, and the shopping.  All forms of creativity.  With hubby and Frank doing the dishes, cleaning up, and doing the housework, it was leaving me free to start getting into doing purging and organizing.  My mind was opening up.  I told him that before I felt landlocked, stuck.  Now, with me taking on the responsibility of cooking and food gathering, my mind was unlocking.  I may not be creating in the sense of designing jewelry or sewiing yet, but I was doing other things and this was a form of creation, too.  Steve agreed.
Next I went to visit my parents.  I wanted to pick up another one of my mom's dog biscuit recipe books and her recipe for a spent grain dog biscuit.  Hubby and I want to see if we could make them and be able to sell them to a restaurant in Longmont that is looking for a vendor to make them from their spent grain.  Tomorrow I am going to mix up two different batches, a peanut butter and a pumpkin.  My dogs have offered to be testers.
I switched the car with hubby.  His stomach was feeling a little better so he took some chicken enchiladas with him to eat later.  I spent the afternoon working on the computer and playing with the rattie boys.
For dinner tonight, I was making chicken and rice.  The chicken I had was frozen so I decided to cook it in the skillet with some wine.  Well, it shredded the chicken, so when I combined it with the rice, it mixed and didn't chunk.  Then I added 4 cans of cream of chicken soup and half a container of sour cream.  I had seasoned the chicken when I cooked it but still added more after tasting it.  I was trying to make the dish juicier, like hubby wanted.  It came out gloopy.  I put it in a 9x13 pan and put Parmesan cheese on top and bread crumbs.  Then I baked it at 350 for 45 minutes, hoping to firm it up.  It didn't.  We tried eating it anyways, but it was a complete failure.  I told Frank to put half in two gallon sized zip lock bags, one for the fridge and one for the freezer.  I am going to use it for dog food.
Tomorrow I will be doing the dog biscuits and while they are cooking, I will be sorting and purging the trunk at the foot of the bed with all my clothes in it.
