Sunday, August 2, 2015

Today was a splendid day.  Hubby woke up with the announcement that today he wasn't going to do anything but lay flat on his back in bed all day.  Then he got up and made breakfast.  Eggs, bacon, cinnamon rolls from a can.  He decided that he wasn't going to church and I told him that I would stay home too, and do the laundry.  A chore he usually does on Sundays.
So I got on my computer while he made breakfast and then we all sat down to eat.  When we were done, Frank took care of the dishes and hubby went down to his office.  I followed him down and asked him if he wanted to go to Walmart with me to return my too big underwear.  He did, so we got showers and left.  But before we did, he took the laundry downstairs and started it.
We got to Walmart and I got my money back for the underwear.  I had gotten the size 16 and now I was in a 14, yeah!  Then we went and got all the canned dog food and canned cat food for the pay period.  I couldn't resist getting 4 skeins of turquoises yarn and some sewing needles for my machine.  We got some ultra strong fuse for making a patch on the mattress for where the dogs dug a hole into it.  We are going to try to stuff it and iron on this fuse with material to patch it.  We also got some snacks.  $85.00.
We stopped at Sonic and I got a Route 44 Orange soda with a shot of vanilla in it so it would taste like a creamcycle.  Yum!
When we got home, hubby continued to do the laundry even though I said I would.  He stripped the bed and washed the sheets and comforter then remade the bed.  He's taken a load of clothes up and folded them, put his away and left me mine to hang and put away.  He told me that physically he is feeling much better than yesterday.
He fixed and cooked the pork chops for himself and Frank.  I'm having a hot pocket for dinner.  I fed the dogs and the rattie boys, they got ham, cheddar cheese and sociable crackers.  The dogs got chicken organs and juice.  Hubby fed the cats.  We are going up to watch movies early tonight to spend some time together.  Frank has to be at work at 5am this week, they are doing overtime, so he will be in bed by 8pm.  Hubby will get some alone time in the office later tonight.
I cleaned the rattie boys' cage out today.  I took the base outside and washed it down with a scrub brush and Dawn dish detergent.  I changed the towels and hammock for them.  And even thought the door is wide open for them to come out, they are happily lounging in the comforts of their home.
Tomorrow, I will finally get around to making the dinner menu for the rest of the week until we shop again.  I also need to put together the bill notebook and pay some bills.  I need to balance the checking account to see how much more money we will need for bills and figure out if we have enough for me to order a dressmaker dummy for my birthday present.  My birthday is in 11 days and I will be 51.
