Today was a relaxing day. It started out with a phone call at 830 this morning. I was asleep when I answered and it was the collision repair center that Farmer's had recommended to fix our car from the hit and run accident about three weeks ago. I started to set up a time to bring the car in but hubby was not really awake so asked me to ask the guy if I could call him back. I got his name and number and crawled back into bed. Hubby and I relaxed for another half hour, didn't really go back to sleep but didn't get up either. We talked and found a good day for me to take the car in for an estimate and parts order, next Wednesday. So I called the guy back. I set the day and time, and marked it on the calendar.
Then we got up, took showers and got dressed. I stayed in the bedroom, dressed in warm clothes because the weather was chilly, probably in the 70s, and hubby went to work. I would see him later in the day as he was going to take an extended lunch and we were going to go to lunch and do some shopping for the pets.
I watched some Netflix and eventually came downstairs when hubby came home for lunch after stopping at Costco to pick up dry dog and cat food. He took another quick shower and then we went to Culver's for Beef Pot Roast dinners with mashed potatoes and green beans with a dinner roll. Yum! Afterwards we combined our leftovers and we had a whole 'nother plate of food!
We went to PetSmart and bought toys for the cockatiels, food for the rattie boys, and canned dog and cat food. I also picked up another hammock for Zeke and Dylan as they really like them to sleep and hang out in. Tomorrow I will clean their cage and hang it up for them.
We stopped in at Walgreens, picked up some Sunblock 50 for hubby and I to start wearing and bandaids for hubby's stitches. We had run out of the ones we borrowed. then we drove home and hubby had to go back to work. The whole reason he had an extended lunch was he had too much overtime in and the boss wasn't going to be happy.
I spent the rest of the evening downstairs, letting Dylan and Zeke run around the table, feeding the beasties and waiting for hubby to come home. After work was over at 7pm, he went out to his best friend, Brent's house to get instructions on how to take care of the animals that we are going to watch over the weekend. He and his family are going camping. They have emus and chickens, dogs and geese.
Tomorrow Rose is coming over and we are going to resume walking the dogs in the morning. Then I will be spending another day at home. It is considered a holiday, being the day before the 4th of July but hubby has to work until 3, so will be home earlier than usual. Yeah!
