Today was an uplifting day!  I slept until I woke up, which was before the alarm so I had plenty of time to read.  Today was the day hubby and I were making our first visit to Cassie and Drew as a married couple living on their own after his parents moved to Italy!  I was excited!  Last night I had made a huge chicken and rice casserole to take up and feed them and Drew's sister, Macy, who moved back in the house.  She is in law school and working full time and it wasn't working out with her roommate.  Cassie is glad as she loved Drew's sisters and was looking forward to having her in the house.
The morning started off good, hubby got up with the alarm and we had extra time as Cassie had texted me and told me to come a little later.  But as we checked the bank account before we left, we found out the mail order pharmacy company had charged us automatically again and overdrawn the account, again.  So hubby called them.  This charge was pending and we were able to cancel the order, we will order it again when we have the money on the 15th, and they promised to document all departments that we do not want auto-refills.  So this made us late for leaving.
We stopped at Kum and Go, filled the tire up with air and got some tea to drink on the way up.  The drive up was good, and fast, we made it up there in an hour and a half.  We didn't encounter any traffic.  But there was a back up for many miles going back down to Colorado Springs from Denver so we decided to take the back way home.
When we got to Cassie's, she was in bed with a heating pad with cramps.  So I went up and sat with her, drawing on her back and talking.  It was a nice mother and daughter time.  Hubby gave her a couple of ibuprofens and soon she was up to swimming while the food heated up.
Hubby was in heaven swimming.  He has wanted to do it all summer long and now we had the chance.  We stayed in the pool for about half an hour before the weather started to turn chillier and it was time to go back.  The food had longer to cook so Cassie pulled up some funny memes on the internet that she wanted to show us.  Cat Friendly vs Dog Friendly, Hey Cat, and Cat Plus Toothbrush.  All really funny!
After we ate and had some of Cassie's lemon bars, hubby and I took our leave and drove back home the back way.  It was a little longer but got us to Brent's house to feed the animals with no problems.  I took his picture of him feeding the emus as some of his internet friends didn't believe he was really feeding emus.  Then we went home.  We fed the beasties, played with the rattie boys and each did our own thing for a couple of hours.  Me with the rattie boys and watching prison videos on YouTube and him down in his office smoking pot and downloading Penny Dreadful.
The next two days are going to be hard on him as it is the beginning of the semester for the college and he will be working 9am to 9pm Monday and Tuesday, spending part of the day here in the Springs and part of the day in Denver.  Defiantly getting loads of overtime this coming paycheck!
