Today was a must day. Hubby was sleeping when I woke up just after 9am. So I went down and got some yogurt and a soda and came back up to bed. I opened the soda downstairs so it wouldn't wake him but when I got up there, I turned on the tv, and turned the volume down low. It wasn't low enough and he rolled over and said "We are getting up now?" I said sorry and turned the volume down lower and he said "This is what you want me to do? When I wake up and you are still asleep, you want me to turn on the tv and eat in bed?" And I said "Yes."
Well Mr Grumpy just went into the bathroom for his morning constitutional. It takes a while. In the meantime, I finished eating and took an Instagram photo of all the dogs on the bed and the cat. They took up most of the space and I took it from the foot of the bed and put "See what I wake up to? Me, in that little space left!" It was funny!
When Mr Grumpy came back in the room, I told him I had a subconscious reason for waking him up that I now realized. He asked what it was. I said "If we kick the dogs off the bed and move them downstairs, I'll show you!" Within a minute the dogs were gated downstairs and hubby and I enjoyed each other, romantically.
I drove hubby to work and took the car. I went and had my nails done. I get the gel nails. I did have orange but I just got my pedicure and got purple sparkly nail polish on my toes, so I wanted purple sparkly gel nails. I get the gel nails because they don't chip and look good until they grow out, about 2 and a half weeks. I get the tips done in color, then they take a brush and dip it in acetone and pat the color and draw it down my nail so that it "bleeds" a little. Then they put the sparkly layer over that. It makes it not so noticeable when the nail grows.
When I was done, I went over to Goodwill. I didn't know why I needed to go, I just felt like I did. So I walked in the door. And there was another stick scarecrow to put in the yard. It was only $4.99! It was bigger than the two I have already but then I would have 3, one for each of my flower tires. So I got it. Then I found a framed and matted picture of a pig, a drawn pig with doodles inside. It was perfect for my kitchen! So I got that for 99 cents. I found some dog salt and pepper shakers, some books, and a 1932 crochet booklet for 99 cents! Not sure what it is worth, but I was getting it!
Then I switched the car back with hubby and hung out at home. Frank offered to pay for dinner if hubby would pick it up on his way home. Then Frank and I finished putting potting soil in the potted plants Janice gave me that were out on the porch, so we could bring them inside. I also potted the geranium cutting that I had out there and the christmas cactus cuttings. I put the trees and geraniums in the kitchen and the christmas cactus pots on the window sill in the craft room. Then Frank put on the outside faucet coverings to protect the pipes from freezing.
When hubby got home, he brought home Popeyes chicken strips for all of us. I had forgotten that I don't really like their chicken strips, they taste under cooked to me. But tomorrow, I will nuke them in the microwave and they should be fine.
Tomorrow is the start of the book sale by the Friends of the Library. Members get to shop from 4-7pm. I will be dropping hubby off at work and keeping the car again.
