Today was a contemplation day.  I woke up this morning and decided to spend the day just review what I have been doing for the last couple of months and what I want to accomplish in the coming summer months.
My daughter, Cassie, and her fiance, Drew, are getting married on May 16th, a Saturday.  It's going to be a simple ceremony in the backyard of her best friend, Emily, father's house.  Cassie and Emily lived with Jack, her father, for a couple of years.  Jack hosted Emily's wedding in the backyard a couple of years ago and agreed to let Cassie do the same.  So Cassie's soon-to-be Mother-in-law is going to talk to her friend, a wedding planner, and see if she will help the kids out with some decorative things for the wedding.
Today Cassie was out working and stopped at a place and found the dress she is going to wear!  She is going to send me a picture of it soon.  She told me she was going to look for a spring dress, something simple.  I can't wait to see it!
So for a wedding present I came up with the idea of giving the kids a mini-honeymoon.  My cousin, Coleen, my parents, hubby and I are all going in on the gift.  I am going to talk to my sister, Laura, and ask her if she wants to do it also.  Since the kids will be living in Drew's parents house when his parents move to Italy in a couple of weeks after the wedding, for 4 - 5 years, they really don't need much of anything else.  I have a new, large family bible for the kids that I bought a couple of years ago to give to Cassie when she got married.  There is a section in there for her to put her family line, births, deaths, wedding and more.  I thought I would fill it out as much as I could before giving it to her.
There is going to be a neighborhood garage sale June 5th and 6th, so a big project for me coming up is to start plowing through the garage and get ready for it.  I really need to clean out the garage so we can get the automatic garage door opener fixed and start parking it in.  There is so much stuff in there, most of it paperwork and trash.
I also need to start working in the yard.  The front hedges need trimming and the garden where I am planting the tomatoes needs to be worked, getting ready for the tomatoes.  I wanted to clean the yard up some more.
I was also thinking about other things but these are the main things that have been occupying my thoughts lately.
