Today was a birthday day! My sister's birthday, youngest of the family, and she is 45 today. This is the sister that has 11 kids and now is a single mom. She has 2 kids out on their own, one kid that disowned her, and 8 kids at home. I called her but got her voicemail so I sung happy birthday to her and then I left her a message on facebook singing happy birthday to her. My daughter, Cassie, also left a video of herself singing happy birthday to her. In fact, that's what prompted me to leave the messages right then and there before I forgot again.
I got up this morning and went next door, fed the animals and opened the curtains (yeah, I remembered this time!), watered the dogs and put the food and seed out for the birds and squirrels. I hurried back home because I was supposed to go to the zoo for a storytelling workshop. But when I got home, I laid back down for a few minutes and then hubby decided to call off of work, so I decided not to go to the workshop either. I was really nervous to go to the workshop because I didn't do the homework they wanted us to do and I was afraid they would throw me out, so it was an easy decision to not go. I am such a coward.
Since I stayed home with hubby, I got to sleep until 1130. I don't know what it is about getting up at 730, doing about half and hour to 45 minutes worth of work then going back to sleep to make me sleep so late. And sleep so heavy! Anyway, the only thing I still needed to do was go over to a woman named Judy's house and help her price some crystal pieces.
I spent about 2 hours at Judy's, searching the internet, ebay mostly, looking for different pieces of vintage crystal. The prices were varied from $60, $30, $45 and such. I am not that familiar with crystal but can do pretty good searches online of things so I offered my services. I'm not making any money on doing this but will take some jello molds out in trade. There were some pieces that I didn't know what to call them and my phone was losing power so I took some pictures and will research them at home.
Hubby and I took the dogs out for a walk tonight, making all around down the street before my feet and back started hurting and luckily we were close to home. The dogs are senior and one of them is having some pain, he loves to walk but the shorter walks we take are better than a long one for him like the owners do. At least that is the way it seems as he is climbing carefully when he gets up on the couch. Hubby did all the beasties, fed and watered them so I had extra time to spend with Kodak and Deisel.
We finished up the night with a Jack Lemon film, Avanti. Neither of us have seen it before.
