Today was a resurrection day. My heart was full of my love for God and His ultimate sacrifice of His some for our sins. I woke up with the promise of forgiveness in my heart, and if God can forgive me my sins, then who am I to not forgive another for theirs?
Hubby and I woke up early, before the alarm. I got up and let the dogs out, then came back to bed. I intended to lay there until the alarm went off for me at 9am. Hubby wanted to get up earlier than that so he could have some quiet time before we headed over to my parents for brunch at 10am. Hubby woke up in a foul mood, complaining that I didn't consult him before telling my mom we would come over. Bitching about having to go to church afterwards and all the work he has to do when he gets home, not going to be able to relax and rest to get ready for Start. Start is the beginning of the semester of hubby's school and he does this 4 times a year. When Start happens, hubby has to work 9am to 9pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, working regular hours on Thursday. Friday he has off but then he has to work on Saturday because the school wants the bookstore to be open the Saturday of Start week. So hubby being the manager feels like it's his job to be the one to work on the weekend.
Anyway, hubby was in a foul mood when we left for my parents at 930am. We started down the street to my parent's house and we had 20 extra minutes before we had to be there so we took a little drive around instead. We found ourselves behind the old KMart, closed down a couple of years ago. I made an offer to hubby to improve his mood and he took me up on it. I put a big ol' smile on that man's face. His foul mood vanished. We went on to my parents in a happy mood.
We had a good time with my parnets. Mom made omelettes with all sorts of good stuff in them, bacon and oj. Yum!!! We had nice conversations and saw all the rearranging that they had done to start preparing for puppies. We had a good time.
We left and went over to Holy Apostles Catholic Church for the noon mass. It was beautiful and wonderful. Father Paul gave a good talk/sermon and we both enjoyed it.
The rest of the day, hubby and I spent at home. I was up in the bedroom reading and watching tv and he was down in his office playing on the computer and listening to music. Later, he did laundry and cooked dinner. Cleaned out the cat boxes, but that was all. Just for the record, he had hours and hours of down time and is ready to face Start. We will even be sleeping about midnight.
