Today was a fun day!  The day started off at 630 in the frickin morning!  I had a meeting with Father Paul from the Holy Apostle Catholic Church at 7am.  At least I thought it was 7am but then no Father.  So I hung out and read the book Rediscovering Catholicism that I keep in my purse.  I popped out to my car and read out there until I saw Father Paul drive up at 730.  We met and talked for about an hour then I left.
I stopped at the new neighborhood Dunkin Donuts and got a Bagel, egg & cheese for me, two coffee rolls for me and two heart shaped jello donuts for hubby.  These are his favorite and I wanted to surprise him when he woke up.  I went home and climbed in bed, ate my bagel sandwich and then went back to sleep for a while.
When I woke up, it was time to get dressed in my purple shirt, black skirt and adorn myself with jewelry to get ready to go on a Red Hat excursion, High Tea.  I drove over to Judithmary's house and we shared a ride over the the High Tea event we were invited to.  For $15 each, we checked in and told what table we were to sit at.  It was a Winter Snowflake theme tea and we each had a snowflake with our name on it as a a seat marker.  We were seated at Table 17.  I sat between Terry and Lori.  There was so many other Red Hat groups there too.  We were served a tea that was a secret blend made by the chef and we had the shiners as our waitstaff.  They started off with a tray of scones, that was very good, not dry at all.  Then we got served deviled eggs with dill pickle decoration.  They were so good!  Next was an assortment of little sandwiches with tuna salad, chicken salad, cream cheese and cucumber and pimento cheese.  There was so many of them!  I ate my fill.  A fruit plate of strawberries and grapes was passed around.
After so many mini sandwiches, we moved on to cookies and candys, so many different kinds.  We must have each drank a gallon of tea and I took mine with cream, which is the first time I have ever done that.  It was good.  We all ate so much and it still kept coming!  I got more than my $15 worth.  Not only was the food good, but the company of my fellow Red Hatters was great.
We must have been at high tea about 2 and a half hours!  We were all stuff beyond capacity.  Judithmary, Terry and I drove back to Judithmary's house.  I picked up my car and took Terry home.
After I dropped Terry off at her house, I drove home to find my hubby cleaning the kitchen.  He started the laundry, helped me change my clothes and brought me a drink.  We sat together and watched music videos of Phil Colins, singing to all the songs we grew up with.  A little Peter Gabrille and some Lady Antebellum.  Compass is one of my favorite songs.  I was so full from Tea that I didn't want to eat any dinner.  Hubby made himself some dinner and then came back upstairs and we finished the night watching the movie Horns on Netflix.
